Installation Tutorial for Pers-On Nails That Won’t Fall off in One Week
Recommended Tools
The first is the needed tools: a buffer (double-sided), a small wooden stick, alcohol cotton pads, adhesive tabs, and a flat Iron (optional). Everything else is included in our installation package except for the heating splint.
Important Preparation Tips
Something to mention before we start! It’s important to choose the right nail size for your nails! The appropriate choice of adhesive tabs will also greatly affect the fit after wearing it!
Step-by-Step Guide for Perfect Press-On Nails
- Before putting on press-on nails, it's a good idea to use a small wooden stick to gently push back the cuticles around your nails. This helps make the nail surface smooth and clean, so the press-ons can stick better.
- Use the fine-grained surface of the buffer to polish the nail surface until there is no reflection. Use the coarse-grained surface of the buffer to trim the nail shape, and then wipe it with an alcohol cotton pad to clean the nail surface.
- Choose the appropriate size of the adhesive tab—not too big or too small! It's enough to leave a 0.5 mm to 1 mm gap between the sides and the rear edge because squeezing the nail surface from behind will press the adhesive tab almost to the edge of the nail surface. If your nails are short and the adhesive tab is too long, you can trim it a bit with scissors to make it fit better.
- Use a small wooden stick to stick a little bit of the front part of the adhesive tab, place it in the space between the heated flat iron, and heat it that will make the stickiness better (you can omit this step if it is troublesome)
- Stick the heated adhesive tab on the nail. Do not tear off the other side first. Use your nails to push the surrounding adhesive tab to make it thinner and more compliant. Make sure there is no gap between the glue and the nail. (Pay attention to the direction of the adhesive tab; the pointed end is toward the fingertip, and the round end is toward the back edge of the nail. This is because the back edge of our nails is round, so it fits better this way.)
- Incline the rear edge of press-on nails at an angle of 45 degrees and release the adhesive tab by 0.5mm. Push the left and right sides back first, then put the nail piece down from back to front, then squeeze it hard! (It is normal to feel a squeezing sensation at the beginning. If it is still very uncomfortable after a day or two, take it off. Comfort is the most important.) Squeeze out the air bubbles between the press-on nails and the adhesive tab from all sides. Do not touch the water for four or five hours! When you have time, press your fingernails to make them more compliant!
Now you are wearing beautiful press-on nails!
Wearing Duration and Final Thoughts
The above is a super simple wearing tutorial. Of course, sometimes it can last for a week if you wear it well, but it can also fall off after a few days if you don't! The more you try, the more you'll find the trick.
